welcome to family dinner, a newsletter
The Family Dinner Newsletter is an exploratory project, bringing the ingredients of connection found around the dinner table to a digital table. Namely, your email inbox and this website. I believe the table can be a sacred space. The table could be anywhere, the meal of any cuisine, the people sharing it of any background or acquaintance; the simple act of coming together around food is humanity’s oldest and most enduring recipe for connection. For me, it is also one of the most powerful. When I was young, family dinners carved the core of my worldview. As I grew up and went out into the world, I sought out those familial dinners in their countless incarnations. Regardless of the context or the company, I have found a depth of conversation and connection around the communal table everywhere I've gone. This newsletter is intended to bring the storytelling, cultural exchange of art and ideas, and the community created by those family dinners to digital space. Pull up a chair and subscribe below, there's plenty of room at this family dinner table!
